Publicity

An area of marketing where I have spent the last 15 years working is publicity. I started working with authors and music artists that I interviewed at a Nashville Christian radio station where I was the news reporter and host of a public affairs program. I wrote press releases, articles to magazines, and began a freelance publicity company in 1995.

Since starting The Blythe Daniel Agency, Inc. in 2005, I help clients select the particular media groups they want to reach. We target a list of the outlets that are most important to them and will help promote their messages. Having spent 5 years as the Publicity Director at Thomas Nelson Publishers, I have worked with Christian and general market authors and media, conducted press conferences and led seminars on publicity at trade conventions, directed multi-city book tours, video shoots, and author events. From writing press materials, pitching several hundred personal media contacts, and following up with the media, I offer a range of publicity campaigns utilizing broadcast and print media and the Internet (including blogs and websites).
